THIS IS HOW EVERY "COMMON SENSE" PARTY MEMBER WILL OPERATE HIS/HER OFFICE.

Every issue, every bill, and every item that needs to be voted on by the elected official must be put forth to the public so that they can vote on it. This will be done via a web site, computers, emails, regular mail, and telephones. How 51% of the people vote, that is how the elected official will vote on every issue. There can NEVER be an issue that the people do not get to vote on. The elected official can NEVER vote on any issue by using his/her own judgement. His/her job is to carry the votes of the people that he/she represents and then vote the way that they tell him/her to vote. Ideas can be submitted by any person to the elected official. These ideas will also be put out to vote. If the people in that district like the idea (51%), then the idea will progress onward. The elected official becomes a true servant to the people.
TERM LIMITS: Until term limits are put into every elected office, the "Common Sense" Party will impose on their members TERM LIMITS so they can only serve 2 terms in any office. No longer will we have career politicians who spend more time on working to get re-elected than doing their job. Hopefully at the end of their 2 terms, another member of Common Sense will run for that office.
Special interest groups and lobbyist will not be allowed in any office of any Common Sense elected public official. The Common Sense elected public official has a special interest that they are serving, the American people.
Isn't it time that we should be telling our elected officials how to run our country, instead of them telling us how they are going to?
