HOLIDAYS ACROSS AMERICA

As modern Americans, we must be more tolerant of all faiths and beliefs in God.  We must allow ourselves to be more open and allow other faiths besides the Christian faith to be seen and be displayed.  We also must be more tolerant of religions that do not have a belief in a God but in nature and man.   Keep your faith strong, but allow the person next to you to believe the way they want to believe and allow them to keep their faith strong as well.

The history of religion in this country is strong.  We must respect our 230 plus years of religious history and freedoms in this country.  We must try not to destroy it, but allow it to grow into a more diverse America that is tolerant of many religions and ways of thinking.

If we want religious freedom, then we must want it for all Americans, of all faiths, and include the ones who have no belief in God.  If we want to return back to the country where we could have public displays of religious beliefs, then we must have it for all faiths and beliefs.

I did my best on trying to pick out holidays that I thought were important.  I might have missed completely, but I tried.  Now I need your help to make it correct and complete.  Please send me the important holidays that are connected to your religion.

Also if there are symbols or displays that go with the holidays, please let me know.  Here is an example: Christians have a nativity at Christmas and a cross on Good Friday.

We have lost so much of our religious freedoms over the last 60 years.  If we truly want religious freedom and tolerance, then there must be religious freedom and tolerance for all.

I learned so much about some of the other religions that Americans call their own as I made up this page.  I look forward to learning more.
